On the Road!

Hey everyone!

I know I said I'd be updating y'all regularly on our moving adventure, but free internet and computer time has been hard to come by. And, I've been kind of lazy. :p And tired. And not in the mood for writing. But, I'm here now! ;) :D

I could go into the whole detailed report of my life from two weeks ago, but I have neither the time nor the patience for that, so I'll just summarize.

1. Life is full of surprises
For those of you who haven't heard the news through the grapevine yet, we found out on the 11th that my mom is expecting. That's right, Baby #11! The latest model will be rolling in around June or July, and trust me, ever since we found out, life has been just insane. Moving an entire family half-way across the country is hard enough, but moving an entire family across the country with a very morning-sick mamma is even harder. I really do believe that it was only by the grace of God that we actually got out of our house last Saturday...I really don't know how we got it all done. Anyway, we officially don't live in California anymore, and we're officially expecting! :D

2. Moving is brutal
Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. I am SO ready to be unpacked and living normally again, lol!

3. Disneyland is fun!

Since a long leisurely car trip hasn't exactly been making mom jump up and down with joy right now, we cut our little "vacation" quite short. Instead of taking a long, round-about way up to Chicago,  we decided to spend as little as time on the road as possible, and instead stayed four days at Disneyland instead of two. We had a really fun time! I'll have to upload some pictures soon. :)

4. Arizona looks like the Dead Marshes from LotR
We said good-bye to California for good today...after almost a week in limbo (we left our Moreno Valley house last Saturday but only left California today), it's really nice to get on the road. Our car is just packed to the hilt, btw. If you looked up the definition of "sardines in a can" in the dictionary, I'm sure we're listed in there somewhere.
Anyway, "Sunny California" it was not...it's been raining all day. I'm sure the best way to see Arizona is not in the rain, but hey, at least we aren't dying of heat. :p

Well, that's roughly everything...sorry this has been so disjointed. We hope to be in Arkansas by Monday, spend a few days there with relatives, and then head over to Chicago Wednesday or Thursday. Pray for us, that we'll have safety on the road and that everyone will feel great and stay healthy, particularly mom! :)

God bless y'all!
